What is the Safe Zone Movement?

The Safe Zone Movement is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a more inclusive and socially connected Canada. In a time when many Canadians experience isolation and disconnection, we strive to create spaces where people can come together, share their stories, and engage with one another across cultural and social divides. Through interactive programs and multicultural events, we foster empathy, understanding, and long-lasting relationships among individuals from all walks of life. By celebrating Canada’s rich diversity, with over 450 ethnic and cultural origins, we aim to bridge gaps, break down barriers, and empower communities to create a sense of belonging for everyone. Our mission is to unite people, combat social isolation, and help Canadians from all backgrounds feel at home in their shared society.

Meet the Founder

Hey! I am Mahmoud Sultan, an Environmental Science and Chemistry Double Major at the University of Toronto. I started this initiative with a vision for an inclusive future intertwined by genuine and care driven human engagement. I see myself as an optimistic, social, and outdoorsy person who wants to positively impact my community in the long run. I want to build a safe platform that celebrates the beauty in culture and diversity and breaks social barriers at the same time. Join me in unifying Canada's multicultural society.
